The EurAsEC Custom Union Certificates or TR TS

EurAsEC TR-TS

The 1st July 2010 entered into force the Customs Union agreement between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan. (other countries will follow)
As a consequence of this in 2012 we start to work with certificates valid for the whole custom union, called TR TS (wrongly somebody call them TR CU)
The certificates must be issued with the new format required and so no old certification procedures c can be used, while old certificates will be valid maximum until February 2015.

TAKE CARE:
Goods can be certified under new Custom Union format but only goods for which a new Technical rules come into force can be used for the Custom Union, otherwise they will be valid only in the country of issue.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT EURASEC

The Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan and Russian Federation within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Community established the Customs Union, providing a single customs territory for these three countries. This document replaces previously issued mandatory certificates for the products (under Russian Technical Regulations and System of GOST R (Russian National Standard)). The Customs Union Commission resolved that the Certificates of Conformity and Declarations of Conformity issued for the products prior to the effective date of the currently applicable Customs Union Technical Regulations shall be valid till March 15, 2015.

Validity:

• for single shipment,
• for serial production for 5 years

Necessary for:

• Supply of products to the Russian Federation,
• the Republic of Belarus
• the Republic of Kazakhstan

Certificate of Conformity TR TS Validity:
5 years with production certification, or batch

Necessary for:
import of products in: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan

Declaration of Conformity TR TS Validity:
5 years with production certification or batch

Necessary for:
import of products in: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan

HYGIENIC Validity:
whole product life

Necessary for:
tall products in contact with potable water or person, paint, isolating material etc.

TAKE CARE! Unlike GOST-R or GOST TR certificates, the new TR TS is issued only in the name of legal entities registered in the territory of the Customs Union. The TR TS is not issued in the name of the product manufacturer. The applicant must have a valid contract that clearly specifies the arrangement and fulfillment of warranty obligations for the products involved in the certification scope.
